In the nail industry, we talk a lot about shaping, building, filing, and strengthening — but today, I want to talk about something even more foundational than a perfect acrylic bead or a smooth press-on application.

Faith.

Every nail tech — whether you're a brand-new novice learning your first prep routine or a seasoned professional mentoring others — walks through seasons where confidence gets tested. Slow weeks.

Creative blocks. Unexpected life hardships. Feeling unseen. Feeling overwhelmed. Wondering if you’re really called for this.

Trust me… I know that feeling deeply.

Before TMNM Nail Supply became a reality, before the classes, before the salon-quality press-on nails, before the academy — there were chapters of my life where all I had was a vision, a gift, and faith the size of a mustard seed. And if we’re being real… some days it felt even smaller than that.

But God has a way of reminding us that small faith still moves big mountains.

“If you have faith the size of a mustard seed… nothing will be impossible for you.” — Matthew 17:20

When I think back on my own journey — being that eight-year-old girl discovering her passion for nails, pushing through personal challenges, stepping into the unknown, building something from scratch — this scripture hits home every single time.

Faith didn’t remove the obstacles.

Faith didn’t erase the long nights.

Faith didn’t stop things from getting hard.

But that mustard-seed faith helped me keep moving when the path didn’t make sense. It pushed me through each transition. It carried me when I didn’t have strength of my own.

And that same faith is available to you.

Every tech I’ve ever met carries a dream.

Some dream of a full clientele.

Some dream of opening their own studio.

Some dream of teaching.

Some dream of creating products.

Some dream of making art that changes lives.

But God dreams even bigger.

When I started creating and perfecting press-on nails, I didn’t imagine it becoming an entire brand. I didn't see that my nails would be sold in beauty supply stores I had never even been in before. When I taught my first student, I didn’t know it would grow into mentoring and educating so many. When I opened TMNM Nail Supply, I felt God stretching my vision in ways I didn’t even see coming.

Ephesians 3:20 reminds us that what we think is the finish line is usually God’s starting point.

He can take your small business and turn it into a legacy.

He can take your creativity and turn it into impact.

He can take your passion and turn it into purpose.

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” — Hebrews 11:1

Nail techs are artists — meaning we often see the finished design before it exists.

We imagine the blend before the ombré is brushed.

We envision the set before the acrylic is laid.

We see the final shine before the topcoat cures.

Faith works the same way.

Sometimes you will not see the success yet.

You will not see the growth yet.

You will not see the opportunity yet.

But God planted the vision for a reason.

Your faith is the evidence. Your hope is the blueprint. Your obedience is the brushstroke.

Hold onto what God showed you even when you don’t see it in your numbers, your bookings, your timeline, or your current season.

Because faith isn’t just believing God can.

Faith is believing God will — in His timing, in His way, for His purpose.
